STATION GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS 2003

The annual RAF Kinloss Golf Championships are on Monday 25 August, which is now within 2 weeks. As per usual it is on a Bank Holiday, so most of us should be stood down from duty. The event will be held at Forres GC over 36 holes. Non-members of Forres GC will have to pay green fees. However, it is hoped that sufficient club members will offer their concession cards for use by the non members to allay some costs. The normal green fee for 36 holes is £30.00, but concessions can bring it down to £10.00 minimum. The closing date for entry is cease work on Thursday 21 August and the draw sheet will be posted in the club that evening. This year we have two new sponsors, which means more prizes and a reduced entry fee.

STATION CHAMPIONSHIPS - SPONSORED BY THE KINLOSS DRIVING RANGE

All RAF personnel stationed at Kinloss with a CONGU handicap are eligible to enter the Station Championships free of charge with the exception of any green fee that remains payable. The Driving Range Committee has kindly donated £150 towards the prizes for the Scratch and Handicap Championships. Accordingly, there will be prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd best scratch and handicap scores over 36 holes. The winners of the 2 championships will also receive the associated trophies for a year. The draw will be seeded to promote efficient pace of play. However, any late entries or Committee organisational requirements may be inserted in the draw regardless of the seeding. An optional sweep will also be available.

KGS CHAMPIONSHIPS - OPEN TO ALL KGS MEMBERS ONLY

There will be 18 hole and 36 hole divisional handicap prizes for the KGS members only. Membership (£20) is available on the day. The over 40s may also enter the Pack Cup (handicap) for an additional £1.00.

Priority on the tee will be given to RAF personnel competing for the Station Championships and the invitees will only fill any available vacant tee times and will be subject to a ballot if oversubscribed. All KGS members playing in the Stn Champs are automatically entered into the Open.
