Rules:
The
First named player in the draw is responsible for initiating a challenge but BOTH
players have an equal responsibility for ensuring the tie is played before the
completion date for each round.
A challenge must be made at least seven days
before the completion date of a round. If it is so made and accepted by both players,
a player who then fails to play at the agreed time will forfeit the tie. A Tie
not played by the completion date MAY result in BOTH PLAYERS forfeiting the match.
If you have difficulty in arranging
a tie before a completion date please contact SAC
Adam Callagher.
Extensions to completion dates will only be
granted in exceptional circumstances. (Due to poor arrangement of ties in 2004
a two week grace period for exceptional circumstances will be the maximum allowed
and then the tie will be forfeited.)
The
first named in the draw will have the choice of venue and matches must be played
off the Medal tees if allowed. It is requested that if any green fees are to be
paid then they are shared by both players unless signing on with a members discounted
round book.
Full
handicap allowance off the medal tees is to be used, if daily (yellow) tees are
used then 3/4 handicap allowance is used.
The winner is responsible for entering the result
on the Draw sheet held on the board at Forres Golf Club and forwarding the result
to Cpl Dickenson.
If there are any problems or queries
please contact SAC Adam Callagher x7608.
The Riley Cup is open to KGS members with a
handicap.
