Station OICs Golf are requested to distribute a copy of this letter to all golfers who meet the qualifying criteria as soon as possible. The cost of entry is £35 for men and £30 for ladies. The date and closing time for entries to the Championships are Friday 4 May 07 at 1200.

Cost of travel is admissible within the United Kingdom for nominated personnel in accordance with JSP 752, Chapter 4, Section 8 using PTC/299000/14/3/DSB(RAF) dated 12 Jan 07 as authority. The reference and date of this letter together with the Station/Unit UIN are to be quoted on all relevant documentation. You are reminded that final approval for travel funding rests with your Stn Cdr/Budget Holder and that overall cost will remain with individual’s unit T&S budget. When 2 or more players are travelling from the same unit by car, then vehicles must be shared to the maximum whenever possible. Please note that subsistence allowance is inadmissible.

Royal Porthcawl Golf Club has agreed to allow a practice round on Sun 20 May 07 at a cost of £30 per person payable to the Pro Shop. The RAFGA has been allocated tee times between 1430 & 1700, but it is recommended players book slots in advance through the Pro Shop on (+44) 01656 773702.

To allow the RAFGA to use prestigious locations, there will occasionally be a lack of local Service supplied accommodation. Royal Porthcawl falls into this category and therefore a much reduced entry fee has been allocated to assist players in using their own resources for payment of private accommodation. Below is a recommended link to the Bridgend Tourism Unit that should be able to provide information on local facilities.

Once all entries are received and collated nominated personnel will be informed via the RAFGA web site (www.rafga.org.uk) on the morning of 12 May 07 at which time more specific details will be published, including Day 1 allocated tee times and catering arrangements.

If personnel have any queries they are invited to email either the RAFGA Hon Sec (MRMDepth-TCSOC@marham.raf.mod.uk) or Asst Sec (avc-avms2@esair.dlo.mod.uk)
