Fountain Plate

This is a 36 hole strokeplay Handicap event. The individual with the lowest net score over the 36 holes will win the Fountain Plate. In the event of a tie, there will be a countback over the last 18 holes, 9 holes etc. until a winner can be decided.

John Taylor Cup

This is a 36 hole strokeplay scratch event. The individual with the lowest gross score over the 36 holes will win the John Taylor Cup. In the event of a tie, a countback over the last 18 holes etc. will decide the winner.

The normal Rules of Golf will apply and any local rules are to be followed.
Slow play is to be avoided at all times and the decision of the committee on any matters arising shall be final.

In the event of inclement weather the competition will be decided on which ever 18 holes were completed by all competitors. Should all 36 holes be washed out then the competition will be postponed until a later date

Notes:

Please report to me, a member of the committee at least 15 minutes before your tee-off time. The Forres match secetary will helpin the running the scoreboard, so make sure you sign your scorecard.

Soup and sandwiches will be available at lunchtime. With the prize giving taking place at 1915.

If after entering the competition you are unable to take part you are requested to remove your name from draw sheet or inform the committee as soon as possible.

Prizes will be awarded for the following

36 Hole: Handicap and Scratch
1st /2nd /3rd in both sections. (Total 6 prizes)

There will be 2 Divisions. Each division having a 1st and 2nd in the morning and afternoon. (Total 6 prizes)

Both 36 hole trophies can be won by an individual, but only one 36 hole cash prize will be awarded. Competitors can only win 2 cash prizes; i.e. 36 hole handicap + 1st in Div 2 a.m.

All prizes are subject to change and will be finalised on the day of the competition.

There will also be levy for all entrants, TBD - this is for entry into the sweeps and payment towards the cost of the food.
